Malakye Zaayin Tsosie is a filmmaker from the Navajo Nation. A graduate from the University of Colorado Denver, where he had the opportunity to direct multiple short-length documentaries, all depicting the lives of Navajo people living in the Navajo Nation.
His short documentary, Woven Together, was officially selected by the Santa Fe International Film Festival to premiere in the 2024 program. The film then won the award for Best Native Cinema Film at the Durango Independent Film Festival.
He is committed to telling stories deeply rooted in his culture and identity, striving to offer redefined narratives that are truthful and unapologetic. He aspires to join a collective of storytellers who honor, serve, and engage with the authentic stories of people and their truths.
